A trip over to Hammersmith and Fulham saw us take on a Barnes Eagles team who had only won one previous league game this season. However Barnes have always been able to give us hard competitive games in the past and today was no different.
A good start saw us take the game to Barnes as we had strong shots that went wide.
Our good play was rewarded as we went 1-0 up.
Barnes made it hard for us to get any good passing going as we pressed for a second. However Barnes showed they were dangerous on the break as they got away and shot past the far post.
The 2nd half saw us get ahead as we made some great passes to make it 2-0 and then 3-0 in quick succession.
Barnes never gave up and their persisitance paid off as they broke away from a corner down our left and their striker hit a great cross shot that went into the far corner to ruin our 1st clean sheet of the season.
The game was nearly over as they nearly scored again, showing that teams rarely give up in this league and every victory is hard fought and well earned.
So a good 3 points away from home which sees us well placed to challenge towards the top of the table.
