Important Information

Please note, all Lyne FC team names and forums have been changed to the 2010/2011 age names.

Also, for all Team forums, the threads have been pruned so threads not started/updated in the last 30-60 days have been removed. Due to our success, the database was getting so large it was causing a few issues.

Any issues, let me know.

Lyne F.C Under 10’s and Under 11’s both win The Plate Competition at the Abbey Ranger Tournament. Both the Under 10’s and Under 11’s played the game of their lives in the Plate Final and both team’s beat the host Club Abbey Rangers to claim the silverware.under_10s_abbey_320x240.jpgCongratulations to both teams for playing some spectacular football and showing all the local Clubs Lyne F.C are a team to keep an eye on. A massive Thank you to the Coaching teams and all of the parents for their support.   Well done lads!!!

The other Lyne F.C teams involved in the Abbey Rangers Tournament didn’t have as much fortune as the 10’s and 11’s with our Under 9’s getting knocked out in the quarter finals of the Plate Competition and the Under 14’s both losing in the quarter finals of the Cup Competition.

Nigels Wins "Surrey County FA Football Workforce Award for 2008"
Written by Scott Lewis
Thursday, 12 June 2008

We have been informed that through the nomination by Carol Meredith, Nigel Edgecombe has won the "Surrey County FA Football Workforce Award for 2008". Plus the Surrey FA say "Nigel has been identified by the County FA Football Development Team and Football Development Working Party as the strongest nomination and will now be put forward to The FA nationally to be considered for a national Football Workforce Award.

The Surrey FA will be arranging a presentation event durring the summer. More details to follow.

This is a great achievement and accolade for Nigel to receive, and thoroughly deserved I may add.

Please can everyone pass on the pleasure when they see Nigel on winning the award.
